Hawaiian Experience SpaYou don’t just have to eat your chocolate to reap its benefits. Indulge in a chocolate-inspired spa treatment for smooth skin, lush nails and one satisfied sweet tooth. Halloween isn’t just for the kids anymore.

Here are a few chocolate spa treatments available at Valley salons.
Cocoa mole energizing wrap

The wrap treatment starts with a cafe mocha sugar scrub applied to the body and rinsed. Cocoa mole mud is then rubbed onto the skin and wrapped in warm linens to promote absorption. While waiting for the liners to be removed, you can choose from a facial or scalp massage.

6-foot chocolate witch takes flight at the Bellagio for Halloween

26 Oct

Chocolate Witch on display at the Bellagio in Las VegasWhat do you get when you mix 60 pounds of chocolate and 30 pounds of a sugar-icing mix with a little Halloween spirit?

In the hands of French pastry chef Jean-Philippe Maury, a 6-foot chocolate witch.

Maury, owner of Jean Philippe Patisserie in the Bellagio, recently unveiled his latest chocolate masterpiece, a 110-pound candy witch who holds a pumpkin and soars on a broom. Maury began designing the creation in June.

He’s no stranger to larger-than-life confections. His candy shop boasts the world’s largest chocolate fountain, a reportedly $1 million cascade of melted dark and milk chocolate, and Maury creates new chocolate showpieces every Christmas, Easter and Halloween. A second Jean Philippe Patisserie in the Aria sells chocolate high heels and features a display of oversized chocolate flowers.

The witch debuted earlier this month for Halloween. She will be on display through Nov. 2.
