Mother’s Day at the Hotel Hershey

8 May

Mother's Day at the Hotel Hershey When you hear the word Hershey, images of the huge Kissing Tower and the Ferris Wheel at the Midway or the wooden Carousel at Founder’s Circle pop in your mind. Of course, you can’t forget the smell of chocolate wafting in the air or the sounds of laughing, screaming and generally having an awesome time.

Did you know that there is more to Hershey than the park, though? Hershey’s not just for kids and, it’s not just about chocolate. With luxury fit for a Queen, The Hotel Hershey offers relaxing spa treatments, premiere golf, as well as the beautiful Hershey Gardens.

So, while mom usually takes the kids to Hershey, this weekend it might be nice to treat mom to a stay at the Hershey Hotel where she can experience a whole new Hershey with the luxury and pampering that says, “thank you, I love you and I appreciate you,” better than any greeting card can.

Upon arrival, mom will can check her luggage into the room and moments later be whisked away for her appointment at The Spa at the Hotel Hershey, where she will experience chocolate like she has never experienced it before. The treatments, which include a Whipped Cocoa Bath, Chocolate Bean Polish and Chocolate Fondue Wrap, can accompany a massage, facial or manicure at the salon.

In the afternoon, if she isn’t relaxing by the pool, she might decide to take in some golf. The 18-hole golf course called Hershey Links even offers a program called Golf Ready offering first time golfers lessons from a PGA professional. If 18 holes is biting off a bit more than she can chew, there is the 9-hole course at Spring Creek, which was named a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary in 2010. The beautiful landscape, wildlife and the natural spring creek make this a haven within which to unwind from all the pressures of the daily grind.

Of course, mom might want a vacation, but she might also want some romance with dad. The Romance in Hershey Package offers two days and one night deluxe accommodations with several romantic additions — rose petal turn-down, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, full breakfast and admission to the Hershey Gardens as well as the Hershey Story Museum.

If mom can’t stand to be away from her babies at all over the weekend, there are several family packages to make the weekend a memorable celebration. The Family Fun Package offers 2 days and 1 night in a cottage suite and includes breakfast as well as tickets to Hershey’s Really Big 3-D Show at Chocolate World, Zoo American, Hershey Gardens and the Hershey Story Museum.

The Kids Stay, Play and Eat Free package is also a two-day, one-night accommodation but, includes free admission to Hershey Park for the entire family in addition to admission to Hershey Gardens and the Hershey Story Museum. That is a sweet family deal!

Whether mom goes alone, with dad or the family, she deserves a break! No dishes, no laundry no car-pooling just a big thank you for being there when you need her. So, forget the flowers, forget the box of candy, forget the jewelry (well, maybe not the jewelry), and take mom to the sweetest place on earth for a chocolate filled fantasy excursion fit for a Queen where she can relax and rejuvenate at least until the alarm goes off on Monday morning.
